Meet the Clarity Crew: Ange

Tell us a little bit about yourself – what did you study and what path led you to what you’re doing today? I really wanted to be an artist (my dad would always tell me ‘the A in Angela means artist’) but we all know how much money artists make so graphic design it was. I studied at Central Tafe and landed my first full time, Junior Graphic Design role at Clarity. That was nearly 5 years ago now and I have never looked back!

Describe yourself in three words. Creative, curious and energetic

What are your top resources across any media that you turn to regularly for inspiration? I love Pinterest! I use it every day for inspiration in all aspects of my life but especially for design inspiration.

What would be your dream project to work on? I would love to design a cookbook. I think it would be so much fun and would be a job where your creative juices can really flow.

How do you maintain balance when work gets busy? I make time for me, even if it’s just a quick 10 minute coffee break, take a few deep breaths and back to it! Exercise is also important to me for maintaining a clear head.

What do you think the most important trait will be for a designer over the next decade? Digital design, although I’d like to think print design will never die.

What is coming up in Perth that you are looking forward to? Summer! Cannot beat summer in Perth - beautiful beaches, good vibes and great places to eat/drink. Cannot beat it!

Where would we find you on a typical Saturday morning? Either on my bike or in a café in Freo enjoying a good brew, some eggs and of course, some BACON!
