Clarity Communications was responsible for the project management, event management and media relations for one of Western Australia’s most significant road safety initiatives - No Crash Day.

No Crash Day 019.jpgNo Crash Day is dedicated to raising awareness of, and improving, safety on WA roads and aims to strongly educate the general public about the consequences of speeding, drink driving, non use of restraints and fatigue.

No Crash Day 2005 was officially launched at Western QBE’s assessment centre in Osborne Park.  Clarity was responsible for arranging the logistics associated with the launch including the display of 20 crashed cars that surrounded those attending and set the scene to discuss the issue of road safety.

Following the launch, the No Crash Day campaign was promoted through a range of organisations and community groups including metropolitan and regional schools and police stations; community centres, libraries and hospitals

Promotional material and activities were also arranged including school kits, postcards, posters, flyers, live radio broadcasts, school talks and open days and a three-day public display/exhibit in the Murray Street Mall.

Clarity also took an active role in arranging the state-wide No Crash Day sticker campaign with 96fm.  This involved 96fm and WA Police rewarding drivers with $50 Gull fuel vouchers for driving safely.

Throughout the No Crash Day campaign, Clarity generated a significant amount of press and radio coverage with major metropolitan, community and regional media.
