In April, Clarity assisted WestNet Rail, to launch its Grain on Rail community information campaign to keep grain on rail, and in doing so, keep thousands of trucks off regional and metropolitan roads.
The Grain on Rail campaign was developed to ensure the community is better informed about the need to keep grain on rail and to urge the State and Federal Governments to invest in upgrading the state’s aging grain freight rail network which plays a vital role in Western Australia’s $4.5 billion grain industry.
Clarity assisted by putting together a detailed communications strategy which incorporated the design and development of a range of Grain on Rail materials including a campaign website, banners and printed materials.
The launch united representatives from WestNet Infrastructure Group, CBH Group, Australian Railroad Group, WAFarmers and WALGA at a media event where the Grain on Rail affiliates were able to deliver a common message to government that “the time to act is now”.
