A major new on-line initiative has been launched at Rio Tinto to help engage employees in the company's community investment programme throughout Western Australia.
The intranet based system provides a range of methods for engaging employees in the multi-million dollar programme including allowing them to volunteer for projects and to nominate the major events for the company to support. The employee engage system is also integrated into Rio Tinto's existing community investment website www.ciwa.riotinto.com, which was built by Clarity and continues to be regularly upgraded. This public website now also provides more details on how the public can become involved in Rio Tinto funded programmes.
